The coolest thing about Cool McCool was its name. The character was created by Bob Kane - who also helped create Batman - but, given Kane's reputation, Kane probably only came up with the initial concept then allowed the actual work to be done by someone else. Cool McCool was a spy, complete with trenchcoat, ascot, and gadgetry, probably patterned after Agent 86 from the popular television show Get Smart. McCool drove a souped-up McCoolmobile & fought weird nemeses (as did Batman & Dick Tracy); his father, Harry McCool, appeared in backup segments.
