Buford and the Galloping Ghost was a half-hour cartoon comprised of two segements: 'The Buford Files' featured teenagers Cindy Mae and Woody, and a bloodhound named Buford whose nose turned red when he found a clue; 'The Galloping Ghost' concerned Nugget Nose, the ghost of an Old West gold prospector who hung around the Fuddy Duddy Ranch, helping out his living pals Wendy and Rita.

The two segements were originally part of Yogi's Space Race. Left on its own, BatGG proved unpopular and lasted only one season.
